Little pleasure ...

Time comes to live outdoor. I love working on my woolly projects in my very green garden. 

My garden is generous in colors and in peace. 

Over spring and summer, birds are singing all around. 

My trees are generous in cherries and soon in plums and apples too. 

As the world is going crazy regarding the last tragic events in France and Tunisia, I appreciate all minute spending with the beauty and the peace of the nature. At least, that's what I try to do as often as I can. I need this peaceful time with Mother Nature.

Two cats to warm my heart ...

Comme vous le savez, la semaine passée fut difficile à vivre. Mon ami décédé était comme un grand père pour moi ... 

J'ai du m'occuper de beaucoup de choses après son décès, d'une collecte auprès du voisinage, des pompes funèbres et de ma tristesse... 

Je tiens à remercier toutes celles qui ont eu la gentillesse de me laisser un message de soutien. Je les ai vraiment tous appréciés. 

Cette semaine là, alors que j'étais occupée avec toutes ces formalités et mon travail, j'ai reçu un petit paquet de ma copinaute Anna, du blog Annasimplecrochet, en remerciement de mon giveway d'avril dernier ! 

Elle ne savait pas que son cadeau aurait été tant apprécié compte tenu des circonstances ! 

Anna est une crocheteuse talentueuse dont vous connaissez certainement les ouvrages. 

Je suis fière de vous présenter ce qu'elle m'a spécialement crochetée : 

As you know, the last week was really hard to live because of the death of a dearfriend who was like a grandfather for me. I had a lot to do with the neighborhood to take a collection for a commemorative plaque, the funeral and my sadness ... 

I want to say "Thank you" to each of you for your king messages in my previous post. I really appreciated them.

Last week, while I was busy with all the formalities and at the same time my work, I received a little parcel from a bloggyfriend Anna from annasimplecrochet, who wanted to thank me for my april giveway ! 

She didn't how her gift would have been so appreciated considering the event .... 

Anna is a talented crocheter and you probably know her work. 

I'm proud to show what she did specially for me :

Dans mon dernier article, je vous parlais de l'Alpe d'Huez que beaucoup d'entre vous connaissent grâce au Tour de France. C'est toutefois une montagne vraiment spéciale. 

En tant que cycliste, je l'ai montée plusieurs fois. Mon meilleur temps est de 1h13 min pour les 15 kms d'ascension. 

Bien que je sois une très mauvaise grimpeuse, c'est toujours un plaisir de rouler sur ces pentes. 

C'est un col difficile, vraiment difficile mais ça en vaut vraiment la peine ! 

In my last post I've shown you the Alpe d'Huez which most of you know because of the Tour de France. This mountain is special indeed ! 

As a cyclist, (I was a racing cyclist who won many races the last 6 years (in veteran category)) I cycled up several times this mountain. My best time was 1h13min for the 15 kms. 

Although I'm a bad climber, it's always a great pleasure to bike on this mountain pass ... 

I assure you that it's really hard, but it's worth it ! 

Me, always very happy on my bike !!

Beautiful Perigord ...

I told in my previous post that I'd write about the beautiful nature in Perigord. 

I want to start with a sad topic. Indeed, Perigord is the region where is producted the famous "foie-gras" made with fat livers of geese and ducks. We all know the process : the force-feeding. I hate that ! 

And I hate so much that practice that I refuse to eat foie-gras. 

Well, what I mean is that region we've never seen gosses or ducks outdoors except at one place. I think it's astounding !  

Je vous avais dit écrire un petit quelque chose sur la nature périgourdine. Avant tout, je tiens à quelques mots sur la question du gavage pour la production de foie-gras. C'est une pratique que j'ai en horreur et d'ailleurs je refuse désormais d'en manger. 

Ce que je trouve ahurissant est que dans cette région de production, on ne voit jamais un seul canard, ni une seule oie en liberté. A l'exception d'une fois :

Bien qu'elle soient dehors, toutes ces oies sont gavées et l'on voit ci-dessous le résultat de cette pratique au niveau du cou !

C'est une honte !! 

I couldn't speak about that region without exposing this horrible practice ! I really hope that one day it'll be different ...

Indeed this region is so wild and green ...

There's a lot of space to let them free ...

I don't know what we can do against this cruelty except to boycott the products ! 

An other product comes from Perigord : the walnut. 

There're many fields of walnuts trees. 

Dans le Périgord : des noix et donc des noyers : 

In some fields, I was very happy to see poppies. I like so much that flower. 

And many daisies...

It's so green ... 

I love the forests there ... 

I think this spectacular : 

I love mushrooms ...

Once, I saw a caterpillars' nest ... 

Un jour, je suis tombée sur un nid de chenilles :

and a spiders' nest ...

These baby spiders are cute, aren't they ? 

Mais aussi sur un nid d'araignées ... 

And I met some interesting individuals ...

It was a pleasant stay in this region. 

On the Dordogne river banks, I could sit and crochet ...

This is what I did : 

I crocheted 2 cushions covers following the pattern I wrote last year. Now I must sew the cushions. 

J'ai crocheté 2 housses de coussins en suivant le modèle que j'avais écrit l'an passé. 

I don't how it can happen but I'm feeling like having no time for anything !!!! Do you feel the same ?! 

I have lot of work at the office, at home and almost no time for knitting or crocheting or spinning ! 

Furthermore, the weather is so chilly and windy here ... almost all the time. I'm tired of it !! 

Je ne sais pas comment c'est possible mais j'ai l'impression de ne pas voir de temps pour quoi que ce soit ! 

Beaucoup de travail au bureau, à la maison et presque pas de temps pour les loisirs ... 

De plus, j'en ai marre de ce temps froid et venteux !!
